Las Rancheritas is a group of women living in the farming village of Agustin Gonzales, Mexico. A few years ago, they were taught the craft of rug hooking. They now sell their rugs to help purchase seed for their crops, school supplies for their children, etc. We desire to help them further by offering some of their patterns to rug hookers everywhere. Profit from the purchase of their patterns goes directly to the Las Rancheritas who designed it. Every sale means a lot to them. Their designs are delightful representations of their village life…..showcasing the land, animals, and their cultural traditions. We are hoping you will want to be an encouragement to them while enjoying hooking one of their patterns. For more information, or to purchase one of their hooked rugs, please visit www.charlottebell.com/rugs/. Or for a special look into their lives, check out the book by Charlotte Bell called Rich Roots. This book has lots of information and superb photography from someone who has become intimately involved with their lives.
